Ensuring procurement records are accurately maintained and aligned with the purchasing system is crucial, as is overseeing and approving the accruals reporting process. Lastly, special tasks and projects are executed in line with the directives from the Head of Technical.

My experience working in procurement, logistics, and as a technical coordinator on cargo vessels has given me a solid foundation in managing supply chains and ensuring everything runs smoothly. This experience is very relevant to the cruise industry, where the same principles apply, such as coordinating timely deliveries, managing relationships with suppliers, and making sure everything meets regulations. I’ve learned to balance cost-efficiency with maintaining high standards, ensuring that everything from supplies to spare parts is handled quickly to avoid delays and keep the vessels running smoothly.

This became a challenge as we had an urgent case and needed to find a solution quickly to get everything on board and proceed with the service. We took the time to explain our terms more thoroughly and negotiated the specific point of disagreement. By engaging in open discussions and finding common ground, we were able to reach a mutual agreement and finalise the registration. This allowed us to move forward with the service attendance and meet the urgent needs of the fleet.
