COLUMBIA Cruise Services GmbH & Co. KG (CCS), affiliated to the COLUMBIA Group, is a Hamburg-based company founded in 2014. The Cypriot predecessor, the “COLUMBIA Cruise Group” looks back on a history of 30 years within the maritime leisure industry. Due to our continuous fleet expansion, we are looking for the right individual to strengthen and complement our Hamburg based Marine Team.
Your tasks:
- Supporting the Masters in applying bridge procedures and occupational safety standards in line with regulatory and Company policies;
- Monitoring validity of the vessels certification and ensuring readiness for third party inspections at any time;
- Conducting regular Marine & Safety inspection and Internal Audits ensuring that the Company Management System, Policies, standards and procedures are effectively implemented on allocated vessels;
- Liaising and follow up with all parties to ensure that issues raised during Vessel’s inspections and Audits have been followed up and dealt with;
- Reviewing HSE Committee meetings and encouraging a robust occupational health and safety culture as well as environmental awareness within the fleet;
- Supporting the fleet with preparation and execution of Emergency exercises and Drills;
- Participating in Risk Management processes;
- Participating in investigation of the incidents, accidents and hazardous occurrences. Monitoring the follow up and implementation of the preventive and corrective actions.
Your profile:
- Not less than two years in position of the Master or Senior Deck Officer on a passenger and / or Expedition ship;
- Good practical knowledge of the Cruise and / or Expedition sectors of the industry;
- Good knowledge of international rules and regulations and industry guidelines and recommendations;
- Good leadership , controlling and communication skills as well as the ability to work within a team;
- Excellent command of the English language.
The Marine Superintendent reports to the Head of Marine and Port Operations.
